Money can be overwhelming as hell
You’re not alone if you’re feeling that, and I’m here to help!
Most women fall into one of two camps:
Controllers get hyper-vigilant. They anxiously try to make the perfect plan so they can feel in control, but keep questioning themselves if they are making the right decision.
Avoiders keep kicking the can down the road because looking at money isn’t just boring… it can actually be uncomfortable. So putting it off feels safer event though the knot in your stomach grows.
Guess what? In both cases, you’re normal.
I’ve worked with women who are “controllers” and women who are “avoiders”. And no matter the pattern, people leave these 4 sessions feeling a weight off their shoulders. With a clear plan, confidence they have the knowledge to make the decision that is right for them, and a simple checklist of what to do each month, quarter and year (and what to leave alone and stop stressing about).
And if you want to book a quarterly or annual check in? I’m obviously here to help you with that to quiet the little voices in your mind seeding doubt or give you that friendly kick in the behind when needed.
First… we take a step back.
Money only buys you happiness when it supports the life you actually want. This means we’ll do some digging into what happiness means to you. Now, and in the future.
Once we’ve got that figured out, we focus on making your money work for you to support that vision.
What we’ll
focus on
Across the sessions, we’ll cover:
Where you are today, and where you want to go and how to turn that into clear financial goals, not just vague intentions
How much can realistically go to each goal every month and what that will get you in the long run
Risk appetite and emergency fund alignment
Investing, pensions and insurances
Optimisation opportunities to get a tax credit
Questions women have brought to the MOT:
“I’m about to buy my first home, but how much mortgage can I take out without hurting my long term financial goals?”
“I kind of know what I want for myself, but how do I even start turning that into a goal
or number?”
“I need a coach! I should be much further financially than I am. I have good income, but not the amount of savings people around me have. Can you help me make a plan to get on track?”
If you want a…
Money blueprint for the next few years so you know what’s next, in what order
Your “it costs THIS to be me” number (your real monthly baseline, the sneaky annual costs and how much can go towards your goals)
A values-based budget that still leaves room for fun (I do not coach FIRE)
Pension check + optimisation opportunities (UK or NL), including whether you’re leaving tax advantages unused
Simple system and automations so you’re not thinking about money every week
Cheat sheet for when you’re checking in a few weeks later and want to remember how things work

Hi, I’m Laura, founder of Elevate
Financial freedom isn’t about showing off or ‘being rich’
It’s about not lying awake at night worrying about money and having the power to create a life that truly makes you happy.
When I got divorced and spoke with other women going through the same, I realised being financially independent made me the exception. It allowed rebuild a life on my terms; choosing happiness, security, and freedom.
That’s the confidence I want for you.
I have a MSc in Fiscal Economics, built and sold a business, became financially free/work optional at 35 and will complete my Diploma for Advanced Financial Advisors (DipFA) early 2026.
During the Money MOT, we’ll apply the building blocks of my Money Masterplan framework to your unique situation. You decide what we prioritse.
I’ll take you from ‘Looking at my money makes me feel nauseaus’ to ‘I know where I’m going, how much I need for that and how to get there’. Trust me, once we’re at the end of it, you’ll wonder what actually held you back for so long.
Frequently Asked Questions

I get it, but I won’t do that. Simply because it’s not fun for myself either and certainly not productive.
I’m not here to shame you for buying lattes, a dyson air wrap or going on holiday.
Money MOT isn’t “be perfect.” It’s “build a plan that fits your life.” My job is to help you feel in control without sucking the fun out of everything. -
It’s light for most sessions, with only the ‘what does it cost to be me’ exercise taking about an hour and a half.
For most sessions you’ll do prep in the form of finding relevant documents and numbers. It’s my job to put that in a clear overview for you so we can focus on “What does this mean” during the session and not wasting your paid time hunting for numbers.
I’ll tell you exactly what I need you to send me before each session, what to ignore, and roughly how long it should take.
And if your brain is fried that week, we adjust. This isn’t school. -
It’s both. There’s a clear 4-session structure that I use as a starting point. This ensures we actually get somewhere. But what we focus on is 100% based on your goals, situation and priorities. Two people can do Money MOT and will walk away with very different “blueprints”, because their lives are different.

Because I’m not just “good with money” and turning money chaos into a calm system you can actually follow.
I have an MSc in Tax and Economics, am completing my Diploma for Financial Advice (Dipfa), have built and sold a company and gone through the Money Masterplan myself.
I work with UK + NL residents, I understand both systems, and I’m very allergic to vague advice. -
Structured, warm, and straight-talking. I’ll ask good questions, challenge you when something doesn’t add up, and I’ll keep it practical.
No judgement, no fluff and definitely not cold or robotic. Think: supportive coach + strategic brain.
In the end, it’s also a personality thing. This needs to feel right for both of us, because we will be discussing personal things. That requires trust on both ends. Hence the free 45 min call to see if we ‘click’. -
No. This is coaching and guidance, not regulated financial or tax advice.
I won’t tell you what exact fund to buy or what mortgage to choose. What I will do is help you understand your options, spot gaps/opportunities, and build a plan so you can make confident decisions.

You won’t be left with a pretty plan and a “good luck!”
You’ll have your blueprint + your checklist, and we’ll also do a short implementation check-in a few weeks later to make sure it’s actually happening in real life (and to troubleshoot anything that got sticky).
If you want extra support beyond that, you can always add ongoing check-ins — but most people don’t need loads once the system is set up.
